If you’ve just had a baby, first of all, congratulations! 💛
Whether you're soaking in those sleepy newborn cuddles or just trying to survive the fog of the early weeks, it’s such a big, beautiful transition. And with all the focus on baby (rightfully so!), one of the most common questions I hear from mums is:
"How soon can I come in for chiropractic care after birth?”
It’s such a great question, and the answer is honestly really simple: as soon as you feel ready.
At Dynamic Chiropractic, our care is tailored to meet you exactly where you’re at. Whether you’ve had a vaginal birth or a caesarean delivery, we adapt everything; from the way we assess, to the treatment techniques we use, based on how far along you are postpartum and what your body needs in that moment. You don’t need to hit a certain milestone or wait weeks and weeks. If you're feeling a little achey, out of alignment, or just want to support your recovery from the get-go, we're here for you. Postpartum chiropractic care could get you feeling your best faster rather than waiting or potentially getting worse!
"But… is it too soon?"
We often see mums within the first two weeks postpartum and you know what? That early window works really well for some families. Often, it’s because their partner is still home on leave and can help with the drive or hold your little one during the appointment. Some mums come in because they’re already feeling the physical toll of feeding positions, broken sleep, or carrying a newborn 24/7. Others come in simply because they know that a check-in and a gentle reset can do wonders for their energy and recovery.
No matter when you come in whether it is 2 weeks, 6 weeks, 3 months... it’s never too early or too late to support your body as it heals. This season is full of so many changes: hormonal shifts, posture changes, lifting, feeding, emotions… and your body deserves a little love and attention too.
Here’s the main thing I want you to know:
You don’t need to wait for everything to feel “back to normal” before reaching out. There’s no pressure, no “perfect timing,” and definitely no judgement. Our space is mum-friendly, baby-friendly, and 100% tailored to you.
So if you’re wondering when to book that first postnatal appointment, just know, when you’re ready, we’re ready.
And we can’t wait to support you on this next part of your journey 💛
