We want every visit to Dynamic Chiropractic NSW to feel smooth and stress-free from the moment you walk in. A little preparation before your appointment goes a long way, so here is everything you need to know. The purpose of this blog article is to give you lots of different parking options, to reduce friction points and stress when you are on your way to your first chiropractic appointment in Hurstville with us!

Arriving for the First Time for your Chiropractic Appointment in Hurstville
If this is your first visit, we recommend arriving 10 minutes before your appointment time. This gives you a chance to find the clinic, get settled, and complete a short intake form before your consultation begins. A little buffer time makes the whole experience much more relaxed, for you and your little ones. We normally tell patients that once you find where our clinic is, you will be surprised at how easy it is to get here!
Our address is:
Suite 254, Level 5, Building 2, 7-11 The Avenue, HURSTVILLE NSW 2220
Parking Options
There are several parking options nearby:
We have parking available on site, it is the council car park with the PlusFitness gym. During the week there is 30 minutes free parking whereas over the weekend there is no time limit! Make sure you get in the lift for Building 2. This is the lift closest to the Avenue. There is signage on the lifts as well to let you know if it is for Building 2.
Little tip: Building 2 has 3 lifts, if you only see 2 lifts- you are probably at the other set of lifts for Building 1!

Street parking is available on The Avenue. Keep an eye on time limits and signs, typically it is for 2 hours. If you park here- still enter the clinic via our carpark! This is the easier way especially if you have a pram and want to dodge the flight of stairs.

The Westfield Hurstville car park offers easy access, particularly if you are coming with a pram or young children. The best way to get to us from Westfield is from the escalators near Aldi. Keep walking until you get to the Chemist in Building 1, walk through the building and keep veering to your left. This will take you to Building 2 and we are on level 5!

If you are unsure about the best route in, feel free to reach out before your appointment and we can point you in the right direction.
Sending Through Relevant Imaging or Reports
If you have any X-rays, MRI reports, ultrasound results, or other imaging that might be relevant to your visit, please email these through to us before your appointment. You can bring the physical copies on the day, we might need to scan the reports during your consult however.
Having these on hand beforehand means we can attach them to your file and make the most of your time in the room. Even if you are not sure whether something is relevant, send it through and we will take a look.
Email your reports to: info@dramynorman.com.au
Checking Your Private Health Cover
We strongly recommend checking with your private health fund before your first appointment to confirm that your policy includes chiropractic cover. Not all extras policies are the same, and cover levels vary quite a bit between funds. A quick phone call or check through your fund's app before you come in means there are no surprises at the time of payment.
We use HICAPS for on-the-spot claiming, so as long as your card is active and linked to a policy that covers chiropractic, you will be able to claim on the day. All health funds that cover Chiropractic care is accepted with us.
A Note for Parents of Newborns
If you are bringing a newborn in for their first appointment, there is one thing worth knowing about private health cover that catches a lot of families off guard.
Health funds do not always automatically add a new baby to your policy straight away, and sometimes there is a delay between you notifying the fund and the cover actually activating on the card. This is a health fund process that is completely outside our control, and it does happen from time to time even when parents have done everything right.
If this comes up on the day, here is what we do:
We process the full consultation fee and issue you with an itemised invoice.
You then submit this directly to your health fund, either through their app or by email.
Most funds process the reimbursement within 2 business days.
We know it is an extra step when you are already in the newborn fog, and we genuinely appreciate your understanding. It is always worth doing a quick check with your fund in the days before your appointment just to make sure your baby is listed on the policy.
Running Late?
Life happens, especially with little ones. If you are running behind, please let us know as soon as you can. A quick message telling us roughly how late you expect to be, and whether you would prefer to wait or reschedule, helps us manage the rest of the day fairly for all our patients. Where possible we will do our best to fit you in, but depending on how the day is running we may need to take the next patient through to avoid delays for everyone else.
Just send us a text or leave a voicemail, no need for long explanations. A simple 'running about 10 minutes late, happy to wait if that works' is all we need.
Any questions before your appointment?
We are always happy to hear from you. Reach out via email or through our contact page and we will get back to you as soon as we can. We look forward to seeing you soon. We hope this article has reduced some stress and given you lots of options to make the most out of your first chiropractic appointment in Hurstville with us!
